With sharply tapering blade of flattened diamond section stamped 'Claveio' with the fuller on one side of the forte, and 'Franzini' within the other, the letters between quatrefoil marks, iron hilt comprising side-loop chiselled with a double calyx at the centre and framing a plate pierced with numerous small holes, lobed rear quillon chiselled with foliage, knuckle-guard en suite with the side-loop, globular pommel with fluted medial band and flattened button, and swelling grip bound with twisted iron wire between Turk's heads
