An English Silver-Hilted Small-Sword

With earlier sharply tapering blade of flattened diamond section stamped with indistinct letters with the fuller on each side of the forte, hilt (some wear) cast and chased in low relief with portrait busts of Roman emperors between foliage, ribbons and cherub supporters, all against finely punched grounds and comprising double shell-guard, slender arms, lobed rear quillon, knuckle-guard with a mask and foliage at the centre, globular pommel with button, swelling grip bound with two thicknesses of silver wire, and retaining traces of original parcel gilding
