A Fine Spanish Dagger In Hispano-Moresque Style

With bright tapering double-edged blade of flattened diamond section etched and gilt over most of its length on each side with symmetrical arabesques and strapwork against a blued ground, the forte en suite and inscribed 'Fca De Toledo' on one side, steel hilt profusely decorated overall in gold with strapwork enclosing florets and arabesques, the grip with a medial band enclosing calligraphy, quillons chiselled as elephant's heads picked-out in gold and silver, tapering grip of circular section, and plummet-shaped pommel, in original steel scabbard en suite with the hilt, and in fine condition

Probably inspired by the Sword Of Boabdil, the last Moorish King of Granada. The decoration is in the manner of the famous Zuloaga family
