An Italian Ivory-Mounted Hunting Knife

With brightly polished tapering blade with shallow central fuller over each face and false double-edge at the point, the back cut with a series of notches along each edge, the turned mount at the top notched and chiselled with foliage, ivory grip carved and pierced in the round with an angel staying the hand of Abraham, against a tree with Isaac and a ram at his feet (some wear overall), and domed silver pommel-cap with button, in its wooden scabbard covered in red leather with ivory locket and chape, the latter set on each side with a circular silver disc nielloed with two saints, the discs possibly earlier
