A German Mace Of East European Form
16th Century

Entirely of steel, the head of six rounded flanges each cut with double lines along the outer face and surmounted by a cap with button finial, on tapering tubular haft incised with spiral lines at the grip, pierced for a thong, and with turned pommel cap with button terminal (heavily pitted overall)
53 cm.
