A Very Rare Guidon Of The 2nd Squadron, 15th (Or The King's) Light Dragoons

Circa 1780-1800
Of single-sided swallow-tailed form and of green silk, painted in polychrome and gilt with a crowned circular Garter motto enclosing the Lion of England, the battle honour 'EMSDORF' is divided either side of the Garter, a scroll beneath inscribed 'MEREBIMUR' and a circular wreath enclosing '2' below, around the central design four evenly spaced panels, two displaying 'KLD' within Union sprays and two displaying the White Horse of Hanover within rococo frames (some damage and restoration)
