Comprising a Baker pattern bayonet with blade double-edged at the point and stamped 'Gill' on the back at the forte, regulation brass hilt with side-guard, quillon and knuckle-guard all in one piece, and ribbed grip with sprung button-catch; a socket bayonet with blade of hollow triangular section stamped '24' crowned over 'Dawes', the socket engraved 'A' over '39; an 1821 pattern heavy cavalry officer's sword (some pitting, fishskin damaged, wire binding incomplete); two French 1866 model Chassepot bayonets, each of characteristic form; a French military sword for a boy with curved fullered blade, and brass-mounted hilt (side-bar missing, wire binding replaced); and two German stirrup-hilted officer's sword, each retaining its sword-knot (8)
