A 1796 Pattern Light Cavalry Trooper's Sabre
By Woolley, Deakin, Dutton & Johnson, Circa 1810

With fullered blade double-edged at the point and with very faint maker's name on the back at the forte, regulation steel stirrup hilt with rounded pommel and back-piece in one, and ribbed leather-covered grip (worn, wire binding missing), in its steel scabbard (minor dents) stamped with indistinct maker's names on one side of the locket, and incised '7 H' over '16' on the other, and with two rings for suspension (rust patinated and some light pitting overall)
