An impressive Italian Baroque parcel gilt and paint decorated secretary cabinet
incorporating antique and later elements

Overall chinoiserie decorated with figures and birds in landscapes; the upper case with arched cornice and having a fitted interior of small drawers and document slide about a central cupboard enclosed by a pair of arched paneled doors; the lower case with a hinged fall enclosing a well fitted interior of small drawers, pigeonholes and document slides about a central cupboard above a well with sliding cover and fitted with three long drawers below, on plinth base and turned feet.
