The bowed marble top with stepped edge above a conforming case, the single door painted with an image of Venus, Cupid and Mars after Veronese, within gilt ruffled acanthus banding issuing floral scrolls flanked by stiles mounted with gilt espagnolettes, he cast with loose drapery about the shoulders, she with pleated and bound bodice and sporting a feathered fascinator, continuing to reeded and foliate chutes ending in acanthus scrolled sabots, stamped 83213 on the top of the left backboards.
