Haig Patigian (1876-1950)
The Armenian-American sculptor is well represented in the city of San Francisco. His statue of Abraham Lincoln stands in front of the City Hall, General Pershing astride his horse is in Golden Gate Park, and A Tribute to Volunteer Firemen stands in Washington Square Park. His architectural sculpture adorns the pediment of the Ritz Carlton Hotel, and did adorn the tympanum of the original M. H. de Young Museum.
