Modeled as two classical women allegorical of the Arts and Sciences, one with scroll inscribed Thucydides, the other with a globe, reclining on a tapered case centering Roman numeral dial inscribed HEYRAND A LYON, time and strike movement, all raised on a pierced scrolled base.
