The scrolled architectural cornice above an upper case of central doors flanked by small drawers above sliding panels, the lower case with angled drafting surface flanked by hinged panels above a knee hole flanked by small drawers, all inset with taka-maki-e lacquer panels depicting lakeside pavilions, agricultural and domestic pursuits, upon opening the doors the jewel like interior panels are revealed depicting tethered falcons, and delicate vines behind the document dividers, a lotus blossom blooms beneath the hinged lid.
