Samarkand, early 14th Century

of convex rectangular form, decorated in polychrome with vines of interlocking split palmette motifs forming cartouches containing a stylised lotus flower and a rosette amongst further scrolling foliate vines, the borders with a repeat design of flowerheads flanked by palmette motifs
45 x 35 cm.
