Ottoman Turkish manuscript on marbled paper laid down on card, 4 lines of elegant nasta'liq script in black ink, interlinear gilt rules, inner margins decorated with a knotted rope motif in gold and some colour, outer borders of marbled paper, small tears crudely repaired, framed, 360 x 370 mm.; B. the bismallah written in thuluth script in gold on black board, signed by Hamid, Turkey, dated AH 1374/AD 1954-55, framed, 168 x 403 mm.; C. a practice sheet (siyah mashq), with sayings of the Prophet, Ottoman Turkey, 19th Century, written on paper laid down on an album page with outer borders of marbled paper, framed, 130 x 215 mm.; D. an album page of thuluth and naskhi scripts, Ottoman Turkey, 19th Century, double interlinear and intercolumnar rules in gold, innner margins of marbled paper, outer borders of yellow card sprinkled with gold, framed, 190 x 260 mm.; E. an album page of thuluth and naskhi scripts , consisting of Hadith (sayings of the Prophet), Ottoman Turkey, late 18th/19th Century, Arabic manuscript on paper laid down on card and decorated with two illuminated cornerpieces and stylised floral sprays, some waterstaining, in mount, framed
