Arabic manuscript on paper, 497 leaves, 19 lines to the page written in naskhi script in black ink, significant words and sentences picked out or underlined in red, inner margins ruled in red and gold, catchwords in wide outer margins, one illuminated headpiece in colours and gold, some dampstaining towards the end, late 18th/19th Century 'Monastery of Mount Lebanon' dark brown gilt covers laid down on modern reddish-brown binding, spine repaired, doublures and flyleaves of marbled paper
