Arabic manuscript on paper, 200 leaves, 45 blanks, 8 lines to the page written in large maghribi script in black ink with the words Allah and Muhammad picked out in red, green or blue, inner margins ruled in blue and red, catchwords in wide outer margins, headings written in thuluth script in yellow within coloured panels decorated with arabesques and floral motifs in predominantly white, yellow, green, blue and red, preceded by coloured tables listing the early battles and the family tree of the Prophet, some soiling and worming restricted to outer margins otherwise in good condition, reddish-brown morocco gilt, with flap, covers worn with loss of some of the gilt decoration, repairs to spine and flap
