Timurid Persia, dated AH 899/AD 1493-94

Persian manuscript on paper, 83 leaves, incomplete at beginning (two books of the Khamsa only), 25 lines to the page written in four columns of small nasta'liq script in black ink, double intercolumnar rules in gold, inner margins ruled in gold, two illuminated headpieces in colours and gold, corners rather thumbed, some smudging, outer margins of 9 folios at beginning and end crudely repaired, brown morocco gilt, stained and repaired
222 x 138 mm.
