Eight double pages from Qur'an manuscripts in maghribi script on vellum
Andalusia or North Africa, 13th-14th Century

Arabic manuscript on vellum, four separate bifolia, 6, 7, 5 and 15 lines to the page respectively in maghribi script in brown ink with diacritics and vowel points in blue and red, fifth and tenth verses marked with roundels decorated with blue dots, or with gold circles in a triangular formation, the last bifolium with marginal devices and one sura heading in kufic script in gold, creased, some soiling, short tears and losses to edges not affecting text

The text of each bifolium is as follows:

A. Sura VI, al-An'am, The Cattle, part of verse 2 to part of verse 5, and part of verse 9 to part of verse 12.

B. Sura XXIX, al-'Ankabut, The Spider, part of verse 22 to part of verse 25, and verse 33 to part of verse 37.

C. Sura XVII, al-Isra' or Bani Isra'il, The Children of Israel, part of verse 9 to part of verse 12, and part of verse 16 to part of verse 18.

D. Sura XLI, Ha Mim, Abbreviated Letters, or Sajda or Fussilat, part of verse 28 to end of verse 54; and Sura XLII, al-Shura, The Consultation, verse 1 to verse 6.
