A Jacobite composite-stem goblet, circa 1745-50

The generous cup-shaped bowl engraved with a horizontal frieze of Jacobite emblems, comprising a thistle, a six-petalled rose with two buds, an oak leaf, another rose in profile, a star and the motto 'Fiat', on a multiple spiral airtwist stem above a beaded knop, a short plain section and a domed foot, 18.3cm high
