A Vienna transparent-enamelled and gilt Ranftbecher with playing cards, by Anton Kothgasser, circa 1825-30
The waisted cylindrical form painted with thirty-two scattered overlapping playing-cards on a chocolate-brown ground, one card bearing the Government Duty stamp containing a cryptic signature and the date 1824, below a gilt line rim, the gilt everted base cut with palisade flutes, 12cm high inscribed Dr K ATOND MIM 1824
