A rare boxwood and ivory erotic netsuke of Onna Daruma

By Hoshin, Kyoto, early 19th century
She stands, facing ahead, her body and head enveloped in a voluminous robe, the lower part of which is removable to reveal the woman's body and legs, a loose ring attachment on her back forming the cord attachment, signed inside Hoshin. 9.5cm (3¾in).
