Four wood figural netsuke

19th century
The first of a farm woman seated on a bundle of brushwood with her head turned to the right, holding a pipe and tobacco pouch, signed Kogyoku, 3.8cm (1½in); the second of a similar subject, looking straight ahead, signed Komin, 3.8cm (1½in); the third of a seated skeleton beating a mokugyo, the cord holes ringed with ivory, signed Juzan, 3.5cm (1 3/8in); the fourth of a temple servant at night, holding a lantern and with a small dog at his feet, unsigned, 3.5cm (1 3/8in).
