Early to late 19th century
The first of a young male rabbit seated, facing ahead with a worried expression, the wood stained dark and the eyes inlaid, inscribed Minko, 3.5cm (1 3/8in); the second of a fox in the guise of a hunter, seated in a human attitude, unsigned, 3.8cm (1½in); the third of two large toads in human attitude, one holding a small sack over its shoulder, unsigned, 4.7cm (1 7/8in); the fourth of a recumbent goat, its head raised and turned to the left and its eyes inlaid, unsigned, 4.5cm (1¾in). (4).
