The powerful bird of prey standing with its wings outstretched and its head lowered, glaring to the right, its talons and beak inlaid in shakudo, its eyes of gilt with dark pupils, signed in a square reserve Nihonkoku Maruki sei. 8.5cm (3 5/16in) high, the wing-span 52.5cm (20 5/8in) across.
