Both naturalistically modelled, balanced on their fins, their eyes variously inlaid in shakudo and gold, both with the upper section of their bodies and faces with a dark grey patination, both signed Joun saku in a rectangular silver reserve; with tomobako titled by the artist oborogin sei koi no okimono and signed Ichijoken Joun saku with seal Joun no in. The larger carp 26cm (10¼in) long, the shorter carp 25cm (9¾in) long. (3).
