The squat body decorated in enamels and gilt with overlapping fan-shaped cartouches enclosing figures from a noble household engaged in either outdoor or indoor pursuits, separated by brocade and formal floral motifs, the shoulders applied with two upright bracket handles, the shibuichi pierced irregularly, the base signed Ryokuzan with kao within a square reserve beside a long inscription extolling the merits of the piece. 9cm (3½in) high.
