Both of rectangular section and lacquered in gold and slight-coloured takamakie and hiramakie with a matching design of overlapping fans enclosing different figural and bird-and-flower motifs, one bottle decorated with deer beneath maple trees, butterflies hovering above peony shrubs and carp swimming in rippling waters, the other with a boy playing a flute riding an ox, a flock of geese descending at dusk and sprays of hagi, all reserved on a mura-nashiji ground, both with en-suite gold and red lacquer stoppers, unsigned; with wood storage box. 25cm (9 13/16in) high.
