Each lacquered in gold and slight-coloured takamakie with kirikane details decorated with a different seasonal vegetable including kabu (turnip), renkon (lotus root), ninjin (carrot) and uri (squash), all reserved on an ishime ground, the underside of sparse nashiji, unsigned; with wood storage box titled Kin maki-e shiho-bon gomai (Gold maki-e, square trays, set of five by Kurokawa Minjo). 19cm x 19cm (7½in x 7½in).
