Meiji Period
Constructed in two detachable sections, the rounded rectangular base fitted with a long curved neck terminating in a short cylindrical support, mostly inlaid in aogai with a chequered design, the upper and lower edges of the base lacquered in nashiji, the neck with four sections painted in gold lacquer, unsigned. 70cm x 32cm (27½in x 12½in).
