The blade of shinogizukuri form with iori-mune, gunome-choji-ha of nioi and nie with much hataraki and yo, tight itame, a bo-hi running the entire length of the blade on either side; the ubu-nakago with one mekugi-ana, signed Buzen no ju Fujiwara Yukikatsu; in shirazaya; koshirae: the saya of red and black Wakasanuri; all the fittings en-suite with designs of shishi and peonies, the iron Inshu School tsuba of oval form with raised rim, carved and inlaid in gold with a shishi and peony, signed Masanori; dark shibuichi fuchi-gashira with gilt prancing and recumbent shishi; gilt-metal and shakudo menuki each in the form of two shishi; each with a fabric bag. The blade 67.3cm (26½in) long. (6).
