Attributed to Bishu Suketaka, 19th century
The blade of hirazukuri form, sugu-notare-ba of nie with kaeri-fukashi tight mokume-hada, the ubu nakago with katte-sagari yasurime and one mekugi-ana, signed Bishu no ju Suketaka saku; koshirae the saya and tsuka of matt silver, chased with maruniyotsuwaribishi mon, the fuchi-gashira and menuki with the same design; with fabric bag. The blade 17.8cm (7in) long. (3).
