The blade by Nobuhisa, late Muromachi Period, 16th century
The blade of hira-zukuri form with medium sugu-ba of nie and nioi, mokume-hada; a dragon and ken horimono to one side and a suken with bonji on the other; the ubu-nakago with two mekugi-ana, signed Nobuhisa saku; in shirazaya; koshirae: the saya lacquered in black and red Negoro-nuri, the iron tsuba of Higo type, inlaid with a grape vine; the ribbed shakudo ishime kozuka with trailing kiri in gold hirazogan; the associated fuchi-gashira of iron; with fabric bag.
