The blade of hirazukuri form, with narrow sugu-ba of nie and mokume-hada, a goma-bashi hi to one side and a soe-hi to the other, the ubu nakago with two mekugi-ana and sujikai yasurime, signed Higo no Daijo Sadakuni; koshirae: the red-lacquered ishime saya with clouds in low relief; the iron tsuba with gilt cherry blossoms; the iron kozuka with a dragonfly and grasses; the remainder of the iron fittings of Higo type with gold nunome designs of dragons.
The blade 29.5cm (11 5/8in) long.
