Momoyama Period
The broad blade of hirazukuri form, with ko-midare-ba/niju-ba of nie and mokume-hada, the ubu-nakago with one mekugi-ana, unsigned, cut down from a katana; koshirae: the shu-ishime lacquered saya with black lacquer horizontal strips (fuemakinuri); the kozuka of shibuichi, inlaid with yoroi-cho mon in silver honzogan; the remainder of the fittings of shibuichi carved with simple scrolls and shell designs; with fabric bag.
The blade 36.5cm (14 3/8in) long. (2).
