The blade by Fujiwara Masayuki, late 17th century
The blade of hirazukuri form, with medium sugu-ba of nie and nioi, itame-hada, a koshi-hi to one side and goma-bashi to the other, the nakago with two mekugi-ana signed Fujiwara Masayuki; koshirae: the saya and tsuka of rogin-nashiji applied with kirimon in gilt-metal and signed on a silver tablet Masahachi; the fittings of shakudo nanako, carved and inlaid with kirimon and karakusa in gilt-metal and takabori; with fabric bag.
