The blade attributed to Kanemoto, 16th century
The blade of shinogizukuri form, sudare-ba of nie and nioi, mokume-hada, the suriage nakago with one mekugi-ana, signed Nishaku issun no Kanemoto o isshaku nisun ni ageru (I took a 2-shaku 1-sun [67.6cm] Kanemoto and cut it down to 1-shaku 2-sun [36.4cm]); in shirazaya; koshirae: the saya partially of ribbed roiro-nuri with a broad band of polished same; associated Higo-style fittings; with fabric bag.
The blade 36.5cm (14 3/8in) long. (3).
