A Mino Senjuin katana

By Nagahiro, late Muromachi/Momoyama Period, late 16th/early 17th century
The blade of shinogizukuri form, kawazuko-chohi-ba of nioi and nie, indistinct hada, goma-bashi and bonji horimono to one side and suken with bonji to the other, the suriage nakago with kiri-yasurime and five mekugi-ana, signed Nagahiro; koshirae: the saya of Wakasanuri with a band of polished same, with associated fittings, the small iron tsuba of mokko form, with hammered shippo, signed Nobuie; Mino fuchi-gashira of shishi; with silk bag.
The blade 72.4cm (28½in) long. (3).
