An attractively-mounted Mino shinto tanto

By Kanetaka, late 17th/early 18th century
The blade of hirazukuri form, irregular gunome-ha of nioi, itame-hada; the ubu nakago with two mekugi-ana, signed Kanetaka; koshirae: the saya of dense nashiji, inlaid with silver yotsuwaribishi-mon; the menuki in the form of coiled dragons; the remainder of the fittings of undecorated silver; with fabric bag.
The blade 29cm (11 3/8in) long. (4).
