The blade 17th/18th century
The blade of unokubizukuri form, broad sugu-notare-ba of nioi with distinct nie and itame-hada, the ubu nakago with one mekugi-ana, unsigned; koshirae: polished black lacquer saya and shibuichi ishime fittings inlaid in silver with the roku mon-sen-mon of the Abe Family of Okabe; the lacquered tsuka inlaid in gilt-metal nanako with the musubi karigane-mon of the Sanda Family and the mon reversed; with fabric bag.
