The mura-nashiji ground decorated in gold and slight-coloured hiramakie and togidashi with a kamakiri (praying mantis) among autumnal plants including ominaeshi (valerian), kiku (chrysanthemum) kikyo (Chinese bellflowers) and susuki (pampas grass) beneath the full moon, the interior of sparse nashiji, signed Kanshosai saku; with wood netsuke in the form of a recumbent dog, unsigned, and glass ojime. 8.1cm (3 1/8in) high.
