A late type New Land Pattern flintlock Light Dragoon pistol

Round 9 inch barrel; .66 caliber smoothbore; marked on left side of breech with crown over GR over broad arrow ordnance mark, a partially visible crown over 2 on right side, two crowns in the center of breech and with a broad arrow on tang. Flat lockplate with Single line border; reinforced cock; marked Tower on tang and in center with crown over GR cypher and small ordnance mark. Brass New Land Pattern furniture of the late style; no stirrups on buttcap, brass ramrod entry thimble, and simplified triggergaurd with no finial; triggerguard bow marked inside with crown. Steel swivel ramrod marked near tip with a crown. Walnut stock; marked on right side of grip with a large broad arrow over BO stamp along with two small crown over 9 stamps, initals TC and crown over P stamped deeply behind sideplate, two broad arrows facing each other stamped behind barrel tang, denoting discontinuation of British ordnance use.
Condition: Excellent. Barrel and lock with bright patina with scattered dark spots on barrel; slight wear to a few barrel markings; lock markings crisp. Brass furniture polished, now with mellowing patina, some dark spots and light scattered marks from use. Stock possibly with original finish, some light marks from use; excellent markings and finish.
