A regimentally marked New Land Pattern flintlock Light Dragoon pistol

Round 9 inch barrel; .66 caliber smoothbore; marked on left side of breech with two small ordnance marks, on right side with a crown over 12, and with a crown over 14 on tang. Flat lockplate with no border; reinforced cock; marked Tower on tang and in center with crown over GR cypher and small ordnance mark; sprig engraved at tang and bridle; sliding safety at lock tang behind cock. Standard brass New Land Pattern furniture; triggerguard bow marked inside with small crown. Steel swivel ramrod marked near tip with a crown. Walnut stock; marked on grip with storekeeper's mark dated 1800, and with two crown over 21 stamps; stamped N S/Y behind barrel tang and ESbehind sideplate.
Condition: Very good. Barrel and lock have been cleaned and now retain a grey patina with scattered dark spots and light pitting; some wear to ordance markings on barrel, lock markings crisp. Brass furniture polished, now with mellowing patina, some scattered marks from use. Stock possibly retaining original finish, scattered dents and marks from use, some deep dents and scratches. Crisp markings on stock.
