A trade type flintlock Light Dragoon pistol by Ketland & Allport with ordnance markings

Round 9 1/4 inch, .66 caliber smoothbore barrel with two ordnance marks centered near breech, small crown over 4 above touch hole, and small crown on tang. Flat lockplate and cock with single line border; marked in center Ketland/&/Allport and marked under unbridled pan with crown over broad arrow. Standard light dragoon furniture, except buttcap, which has no stirrups. Walnut stock with carved panels around lock and sideplate; marked with storekeeper's mark and dated 1800 as well as DD stamped vertically into stock behind sideplate and two small crowns over 6 on right side of grip. Wooden ramrod.
Condition: Good. Barrel and lock have been heavily cleaned. Some evidence of liquid acid cleaning and scattered mild to heavy pitting; markings crisp; one lock screw in sideplate probably a replacement. Brass with mellow patina. Stock excellent, with some scattered marks from use.
