An early Royal Forester's Pattern flintlock light dragoon pistol

Tapered round 10 inch barrel; .66 caliber smoothbore with two British ordnance markings on center of breech and a crown on the barrel tang. Flat lockplate with double line border; marked in center with crown over GR cypher along with small stamped crown over broad arrow, and marked Tower on lock tang. Early type lock with one screw behind cock; frizzen spring marked HN on bottom. Brass furniture, including: buttcap with full stirrups, wrist escutcheon, standard light dragoon style triggerguard with crown stamp inside bow, ramrod thimbles, and three-screw "Blue's Pattern" sideplate. Original ramrod. Walnut stock with simplified relief shell carved behind barrel tang; crown over 8 stamped on right side of grip and storekeeper's mark intentionally scracthed out during period of use.
Condition: Very good. Barrel and lock with clear markings and even, dry, and dark brown patina. Hammer spur broken broken off below top jaw during period of use. Brass with mellow patina and some areas of dark patina. Stock with scattered marks from use.
