A Land Pattern heavy dragoon flintlock pistol by Jordan

The 12 inch tapered round barrel in .63 caliber smoothbore; top of breech with worn ordnance markings, the side with several indecipherable marks. Rounded banana-shaped lockplate marked with ordnance mark, crown and GR cipher and at the tail Jordan/1747. Brass furniture of standard pattern. Full walnut stock with relief panels. Replaced brass-tipped ramrod.
Condition: Very good. Grey metal with areas of light pitting with some heavier pitting at barrel breech. Cock repaired, the top jaw and screw replaced; frizzen possible period replacement. Stock with scattered marks and minor chipping and with 3 inch replaced section at tip of fore-end and restoration to relief panel at barrel tang; small replaced sliver above lockplate and small filled repair in front of lock.
