A rare English Queen Anne flintlock cavalry pistol

The 13 inch .58 caliber three-stage barrel with partially faceted breech section, London view and proof and maker's mark of Edward Nicholson. Rounded, banana-shaped three-screw lock engraved with crown and AR cipher, the tail marked C./Dymond/6 and stamped with crown and broad arrow. Iron triggerguard. Replaced walnut stock with single brass ramrod thimble and brass buttcap.
Condition: Very good as refurbished. Grey metal with scattered light pitting and generally sharp markings. Lock reconverted. Ramrod thimble, stock and buttcap of later vintage.
