An English double barreled percussion pistol

With 6 inch brown Damascus side-by-side barrels in .59 caliber smoothbore, the rib marked London, the underside with worn Birmingham proofs. Swivel ramrod. Engraved tang. Engraved back action locks signed D. Egg. Engraved triggerguard with pointed finial. Varnished walnut half-stock with checkered, bag-shaped butt. German silver barrel wedge escutcheons and wrist escutcheon.
Condition: Very good. Barrels with brown patina mixed with old rebrowned finish and showing scattered light pitting. Locks with dark grey patina. Stock with scattered light marks, chipping above right barrel wedge escutcheon and small chip above lockplate.
