Footnotes
Harrison McIntosh began working with ceramics in the early 1940s in the garage of his parents' Neutra-designed home in Los Angeles after studying with Glen Lukens at USC. In the summer of 1953, Harrison studied with Marguerite Wildenhain at Pond Farm and by 1960 most of his signature shapes and decorations were well established. He continued to produce similar examples for the next 40 years, using the same clay, oxide engobes and glazes. During the period 1960 to 2000, he refined many of these designs and explored new directions as well.
