A composite Middle Eastern flintlock blunderbuss
early 19th century

The 32 inch barrel with large oval bore; molded below the muzzle with five 4 inch flutes; breech section inlaid with key fret panel in brass. Tower lock, circa 1800, with two line border and marked with crown and GR. Brass triggerguard and sideplate of British military design. Full stock, the fore-end with crude iron bands, the buttplate missing.
Condition: Fair. Grey metal showing areas of light pitting. Stock showing numerous marks, some splits at end of fore-end and with a large piece missing above the lock.
